IKARBUS A.D. – This bus and specialized vehicle assembly plant is the biggest manufacturer of all types of buses in Yugoslavia. Since 1923 when it was established as first aircraft factory on Balkans, some 1000 airplanes were built in its plants, and in the last 40 years it produced over 20000 buses, 30% of them for export (Cuba, Angola, Turkey, Poland, Romania, Egypt, Russia). Today, it is a modern factory registered as joint-stock company with 1200 employees, operating at capacity of 1000 buses a year in one shift.

The motors we build in Ikarbus buses are eco-motors (EURO 2) that follow European trends in development and production of this kind of vehicles.

Our offer includes:

-IK-103 city bus with the possibility of building in MERCEDES (250KS) and MAN (260KS) motors, with RABA axles and capacity of 110 passengers. There is also a possibility of building in automatic transmission.

 

- IK-104 city bus with RABA (218KS) motor and RABA axles. Capacity 110 passengers.

- IK-103P suburban bus with MAN (260KS) or MERCEDES (250KS) motor, capacity up to 80 passengers.

-IK-104P suburban bus with RABA (218KS) motor, capacity 80 passengers.

 

-City double-decked buses with MAN (IK-201), RABA (IK-202) and MERCEDES (IK-203) motors, capacity 160 passengers, perfect for transport with high passenger frequency in city traffic. Possibility of building in the automatic transmission (VOITH D 851.3).

-IK-301 intercity bus with MAN or MERCEDES motor, capacity 51 passengers, with or without air-conditioning. Equipped with ABS system.

- IK-401 tour bus with MAN (400KS) motor, air conditioner, mini kitchen, toilet, audio and video equipment, cabin for the driver. Equipped with ABS and ASR system. Luggage space 8-11m3.

All vehicles mentioned above are constructed on Ikarbus frames. Conventional city buses, suburban, intercity and tour buses have rear motors.

  • Luxury high floor bus IK-404 for extensive tourist routs on Daimler-Benz 0404 15 SHD frame, capacity 51 passengers. IK –404 bus is powered by MERCEDES V8 motor of 381HP. Frames and gear are produced by MERCEDES, retarder VOITH. Has ABS and ASR system. The bus is equipped with air-conditioner, video and audio equipment, toilet, mini-kitchen and refrigerator. Luggage space - 12,5 m3. IK-404 is the second bus where we used Daimler-Benz frame. In 1997 we produced first conventional low-floor city bus (on O 405N frame) that preformed exceptionally well for the last year and a half that it’s been in everyday use in Belgrade city traffic.
  • IK-106 bus powered by MERCEDES motor (250KS) with MERCEDES frame. Equipped with ABS and ASR system. Especially convenient for city transport because of low floor and easy access for children and elderly.

Today, Ikarbus has 10 types of buses in assembly line production, great development plans and export possibilities. As market oriented firm, Ikarbus has considerably extended its assortment venturing into production of new generation of buses for city, suburban, intercity and tourist traffic and mini-buses. Those are vehicles modernly designed with new body and technical and technological solutions that comply with world standards and norms.
